We built automation framework in 2 days !!
It used to take my team weeks earlier.
Even, I did not believe it myself until we did it.
We needed a test automation framework.
Normally that means weeks of iteration. Script design, figuring out locator strategies, setting up the framework, reviews… you know the challenges and the effort required.
This time we tried something different.
🤖 AI augmented test case automation.
We used Playwright for automation, MCP to orchestrate the workflow, and Ollama to run the LLM locally (for data privacy).
The AI handled the heavy lifting on framework scaffolding and script generation from requirements. All in plain English prompts.
My team brought the judgement : reviewing, refining, catching what AI missed.
Two days later, we had a working framework. And working automation scripts.
With AI augmentation, we had developed automation framework, developed scripts for more than 50 test cases.
All in just 2 days.
Was it perfect?
Well…No. But it was solid enough to build on.
