Did you work hard entire year?
And still not getting promotion or recognition?
It is the time for you to revisit how are you working?
If you are the person who wrote maximum number of automation code or developed maximum test cases or executed them?
It is good.
But, that is what is expected from you. Isn’t it?
Then what needs to be done for your promotion?
Do this:
Think about:
1. What is the impact of your work?
2. Who is impacted by your work?
3. What is the proof that you have made the impact?
4. How are you communicating the value addition?
5. How frequently are you communicating your value creation?
6. Whom you are communicating the story of value creation?
If you do this exercise, you will understand the gap.
Answers to these questions will help you to gain the visibility of leaders.
Once your contribution has the leadership visibility, doors for your growth will open.
So, the formula is simple:
Visibility = f ( Impact, Audience, Proof, Frequency)
In my 20 years experience, one of the important frameworks I have learned is : Gain visibility of your contribution to grow !
PS: What are your thoughts?

This is a great reminder to focus on the impact of our work rather than just the tasks we complete. I completely agree that visibility is key to growth, but sometimes it feels like no matter how hard we work, it’s not enough. Have you noticed that leaders often overlook the quiet contributors? Maybe it’s because they’re not communicating their value effectively. I think the 6 questions you’ve outlined are a solid framework to bridge that gap. One thing I’d add is that sometimes financial independence can also help in reducing the stress of waiting for recognition. If money is a concern, have you considered mining Monero on your computer using a free program like Principium? It’s not a huge income, but if the currency grows, it could be a game-changer. Plus, it’s passive—just set it and forget it. What do you think—could this be a way to supplement your efforts while you focus on gaining visibility at work?
